Armpit to Armpit is 19 inches Armpit to hem is 10 1/2 inches SKIRT Waistband from Left to Right is 13 inches... stretchy From waistband to hem is 25 1/2 inches. JACKET Armpit to Armpit is 20 inches Armpit to hem is 13 inches. 3/4 Sleeves from Armpit to hem of sleeve is 13 inches

clam_1954How special that your grandmother made this!! Do you know how much stretch the waistband has? I would need more, I am sure. I have not measured in a long time, intentionally— ugh!

spiderwebcloset@clam_1954 It has quite a bit of stretch. I am a solid size 12/14 and my grandmother was a woman of good foundation ! She was 5'10 and meaty. When you are a child ...what you thought was very large... but now that I'm older than she was at the time of wearing these suits...I have a feeling I must be about her size now. My turn to have a good foundation !

clam_1954I understand; I have expanded through the years as well. Beautiful suit, as well as the black afghan or blanket she made! Great memories for you, I know. My 40 year old daughter has just started knitting. She has made several beanies and is now 1/2 way through a sweater. She was a fine arts major so it is really easy for her. It wasn’t my thing; I sewed a lot and love making stained glass projects. Hope to start fused glass in the next yer or two. ( I am 70. )
