🎨A Few Words about Me🎨

Thank you for stopping by my little art corner. I’m Ela and I’m a self-taught artist. I had my first “art exhibition” when I was five. I taped a wrinkled ribbon to the door frame of my room for a ribbon cutting ceremony, glued to the walls some oversized sheets of watercolor paper with images of what looked like unidentifiable color blobs, and invited distinguished guests=my parents to view my “art”). But I did not paint for decades after that. Not for real. Not with much success. Not with any zeal. Not with a speck of confidence. About two years ago, however, when life decided to test the limits of my strength, I resolved to look on the bright side of it all. I returned to my long-forgotten childhood artist-self. I re-embraced watercolors. Since then, I’ve bought books on watercolors, watched video tutorials, got supplies (often wrong ones), painted almost daily, and even though I’ve thrown most of my work away, I have enjoyed the learning and the trying. I’m grateful to my first art “giftees”: my friends and my family. They welcomed my watercolors enthusiastically and made room for them on their walls. I saw that my work, however imperfect, brought them genuine joy. And that is my goal. I want to bring that kind of joy to you, Posh friends. I hope that you can view my work as whatever you need it to be at this moment of your life: serenity, joy, inspiration, a pick-me-up, a hang-in-there, a break from the mundane, a smile.
