A beautiful solid 14k rose gold oval cut alexandrite ring (lab alexandrite) with round moonstone side stones. It was designed by Oore Rings, well known for her whimsical and beautiful rings. This elegant dainty ring is classy, but unique. Alexandrite has a Mohs hardness rating of 8.5, meaning it’s great for daily wear without scratching. It would make an excellent engagement, wedding, or statement ring. Lab alexandrite has a wider range of color shift, including beautiful purples, and is a more ethical choice. It has beautiful color shifts, from grey green to deep green, dark blue, dark purple, and fuschia, depending on the light. I find it to be more green/blue, with purple and fuschia becoming more apparent in direct light. The last picture is a professional photo of a different stone that shows some colors I was unable to capture on camera. It was purchased custom from Oore Rings several years ago. It was originally size 8, resized to a size 5 by a local jeweler (fits slightly large for a 5, may fit up to a 5.5). It was worn for about 6 months, and has some minor scratching on the bottom of the band, which should be able to be buffed out. Comes in original green velvet ring box.
