Vintage Sterling Silver Thailand Traditional Khon Dancer Brooch Pin

Marked "Thailand" This piece likely dates back to the 1940's (early mid century) after "Siam" was officially re-named Thailand, in June 1939. If you enjoy historical information (I'm guessing you may, as you're shopping vintage)- It can be noted that there was a brief time between 1946 and 1948 where Thailand re-claimed "Siam" as their name before officially becoming known as Thailand once again 😉 This wonderful Brooch Pin depicts a Traditional "Khon" dancer dressed in an intricately detailed yellow costume (enamel on sterling). Shows signs of wear as should be expected, has some naturally developed patina (a bit of enamel wear, minor surface scratches). Clasp works well.
