Vintage 1988 Runway Valentino Boutique Rare Red Green Cupid Gown XS/S

Vintage 1988 Valentino Boutique Rare Runway Red Green Cupid Dress Such a special unique piece that closed the 1988 f/w runway show. Definitely a one of a kind head turning piece. Shown on a small mannequin. Would be best for XS to S. Approximate measurements laying flat: Bust: 17.5" Waist: 13.5" Hips: 30" Length: 55" Width at bottom: 20" Top is a red silk crepe with waffle weave design. The front plunges to the top of the wide and gathered waist band that gives shape and balance between the strong upper and lower portions of the gown. I believe it used to have shoulder pads but doesn't anymore. The skirt is a work of art. The cut is sculpted and shaped to curve out from below the cinched in waistline. Circling the skirt are round cut out medallions that are each backed with a red silk the same hue as the top. Each of those cut outs has a beautiful little angelic cupid that is detailed hand set embellishments. Has pockets. Bottom is lined with small weights. Skirt has overall wear to satin and some fading to fabric. Some embellishments are missing from appliqué Cupid circles. Top has a small mark on one shoulder in back and a faint mark on the front. See close ups. Price reflects wear. These issues may be resolved at the cleaners. I decided to leave as is and let the buyer take it to their trusted cleaner.
