Vintage Mid-Century Lion Porcelain Figurine Realistic Matte Glaze Hand Painted ?

Rare porcelain sitting lion figurine, realistic & detailed sculpt & matte glaze that appears to be hand painted (?). Gifted to my mother in the late '70s & inherited by me in 1999. Marked "Lion" in script on bottom but w/o any other identifying stamps or stickers. Kept in a cabinet or carefully packaged when moved, item is in excellent condition. Small white marks on left hind leg noticed but believed to be original as no roughness felt (see below & last pic). Wonderful mid-century collectors piece for porcelain, ceramic, lion, wildlife or nature lovers.
