Sold 🌈Rare rainbow silk dress French Haute Couture Jean Patou 1970’s vintage

Versatile: depending on how you accessorize it, it is perfect- -under the moon or the sun -as formal or casual -4 a special occasion (wedding, prom, etc) -4 a cruise or travel Flows & spreads around your body as you walk, dance & fly! See picture on the floor 4 outline. Live mannequin is 5 feet 7 inches. The rainbow is made of 4 pieces of fabric linked obliquely. See picture on the floor. Both sides identical. Rainbow is silk with some lines. No label as to nature of fabric but it was sold & priced as silk. Label was probably removed by seamstress when she changed underdress. Explanation on size: The yellow short underdress is what holds the “rainbow” and gives it shape around the collar. Was originally a size 38 but it was substituted by a professional seamstress to make it fit my changed body in the early 2000’s. It could be easily altered or substituted again to change the size as you do not see the garment under the rainbow.
