messyjessie@joanne1961 they aren't suede or velvet. They feel more like a material between a suede and a leather. They're soft and feel like they'd be much easier to wipe clean than suede or velvet but they aren't slick like a leather shoe. I know all of that sounds goofy, but I've never felt a pair quite like this before. I read a description online where someone said they felt like buckskin, but I can't attest to that, as I'm not sure what buckskin feels like.
