The image shows a stamp on the back of a porcelain plate. The stamp reads "J.P. L. FRANCE". This indicates the plate was made by Jean Pouyat in Limoges, France. Jean Pouyat Limoges (JPL) was a porcelain manufacturer active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Porcelain plates are known for their durability, resistance to chipping and scratching, and low porosity which makes them stain-resistant. They are also safe for food use, as they do not leach harmful chemicals. While durable, porcelain can chip if mishandled.
Plate is approximately 8 3/4 inches.
Plate does have small chip not visible from the front of plate.
