This hair claw is jet black over silver tone metal. It has different shades of purple rhinestones. No missing stones. However, the black (lacquer?) that was over the claws has worn off exposing the silver underneath. This is a strong hair claw. I struggled a bit to open it the one time I wore it. This is over 20 years old
