All items are new and unused. The tea is sealed. Teavana is well known for their exquisite tea collections and sets. This set includes: • A glass bowl (Chawan): Used for whisking and drinking matcha. The textured glass bowl is a unique handmade design with frosted streaks, made in Japan. • A 2.8 oz tin of Imperial Matcha: A high-grade ceremonial matcha, known for its vibrant color, rich umami flavor, and smooth texture. • A bamboo whisk (Chasen): Essential for frothing the matcha to achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. About Imperial Grade Matcha: Imperial grade matcha is considered among the highest quality ceremonial matcha available, made from young, hand-picked leaves from the first flush harvest. It's characterized by a rich, complex flavor with intense umami, often described as having notes of seaweed, sweet summer grass, or even subtle nutty and cacao hints, without bitterness. Traditionally prepared by whisking the powder with hot water in a bowl to create a frothy beverage.
