Vintage Telephone Cord Bag

OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY. This fun 1940's Red, Yellow, White, Blue & Green “Coil Bag" is a/k/a the “Telephone Cord Purse" and they were a big hit during war rationing and are a rare find now. Women had to be creative and make their own purses out of whatever was available … and that’s how the telephone purses were born. Working top zipper closure. Interior black fabric lining with slip pocket. Measures approximately 9-1/2” x 6-1/2” x 2” deep (cord drop is 6”). Coil colors are bright & shinny. Both sides shown ~ same coil design on front and back. Preowned condition ~ the binding connecting the zipper to the walls of the bag shows wear from age and use.
