This Wallet has the Malletier stamp means “trunk maker” and was no longer used after 1980. Therefore, there is no date code.

To clarify the "Malletier" LV logo was only used through 1980. And date codes started being used after 1980. If you google "when did Louis Vuitton start using date codes" there are quite a few articles that explain how pre-1980 authentic LV did not have date codes.
