VTG medieval bodice / Shakespearean costume black velvet gold lace trim sz S (?)

Vintage medieval-style bodice / Shakespearean costume in black velvet with gold lace trim, long ivory velvet sleeves and sheer lace high neckline with dainty ribbon ties on back. Back panel secured with hook and eye enclosures. Skirt hooks along the inside hem. Many aspects of this item seem to be hand stitched and the attention to detail is amazing. A truly exquisite piece! While the piece is vintage, it is NOT authentic to the era. Based on the maker’s tag stitched inside, I would place this being created probably in the 1940s-50s. In surprisingly great condition! Some signs of wear and age but overall well preserved.
