GAIL DAUER of BEVERLY HILLS Vintage Military Inspired Hat

I obtained this from a Beverly Hills estate sale. Designer Gail Dauer, was known for creating military inspired hats and apparel in the 1980’s. Vintage military uniforms were her muse and she would rework the medals, braiding, epaulettes and patches into designs that were worn by celebrities and sold for thousands of dollars. One of her most notable clients was Michael Jackson, whose iconic military fashion represented a complex interplay of power, royalty, showmanship, and rebellion.
