One reason these are rare is because they were released in 1955 & only produced thru 1956 •Note it says the two color names in this series were inspired by nature, Desert Yellow & Desert Pink •The pieces in this listing are Desert Yellow & have a base of opaque white glass surrounded on the outside by a creamy yellow with brownish specks •Making these more special, it was also the 1st collection of Opalware to be marketed to consumers. Developed by Corning during WW2, Opalware is Soda lime glass that is tempered, heat resistant & more durable than the earlier Pyrex •Please review all pics for full condition, but these are in Excellent shape for being 70 years old! •No breaks, cracks, or chips. Minor surface scratching is to be expected for being a kitchen workhorse & their vintage age. Note most significant scratching occurs around the “R” on the bottom of round pan •Passed to me by family member, who is original owner
