@alexandra_k449 sorry, I missed your question. Dear Frances brand notes size 39 as a 9, but I usually wear a 39 in other brands which is typically 8.5 to 9. My other Dear Frances boots are 38.5 which (to me) feel like 8 to 8.5, but a bit snug for my 8.5 foot. The 39 fit really well with a little more room for a wool sock. Hope that helps!
