Vintage 1950s COLE of CALIFORNIA Pink, Orange & Gold Floral Ruched Bathing Suit

A gorgeous 1950s bathing suit by Cole of California! Bright, painterly floral print in pink, orange and gold on a cream background. If you're into magnificent garment construction, this piece will have you completely enthralled, as it has me. The sheer number of panels has me in a tizzy! Designed to flatter. The top has a ruched, wrap style bust. The bust has its own lining, with boning through the cups. The straps are adjustable, with four lengths to choose from. The suit snaps and zips up the back. Even the back, which is the simplest part of the suit, is composed of four separate panels! There is boning through either side of the body. The panel across the front is ruched to flatter the figure. 59% acetate, 34% cotton, 7% rubber. Made in the USA. Size 12, but please see the measurements for best fit. Vintage, very good condition. The elastic parts are not as stretchy as they would have once been, but still have some action. No stains, inside or out. Incredible condition and a beautiful piece!
