Christine Custom Bags Detroit Cherry Motif Bag

Elegant medium sized bag from Christine Custom bags in Detroit. These bags were hand made, hence the “custom” of the name. The store was located in the prestigious Fisher Building in Detroit located at 3011 W Grand Blvd. The clients were among the who’s who of postwar Detroit which was truly the place to be. Christine Custom bags were also a client of the well known Detroit department store, J.L.Hudson. This particular bag has embroidered cherries on the front, back and sides. There are no pulls in the fabric or embroidery. No nicks or scratches in the hardware, but there is very slight wear at the tops of the kiss lock which is kind of expected for the age of the bag. The bag has been professionally cleaned and the lining is in pristine condition. No worn spots. No tears in the fabric. I’m guessing this bag is from the 1950’s based off the label. Measurements are 13” L x 10” H x 3” W the handle drop is 8”. Please, no lowball offers. This is an excellent vintage piece which is worth the price. 🙂
