Offered here is a vintage bread tray from Pfaltzgraff’s Heritage White line, produced in the U.S.A. during the mid-20th century. This paneled stoneware piece features a raised inscription around the inner rim: “A joyous heart makes the loaves taste better.” The lettering is molded in relief and glazed over, giving it a soft, tactile presence that’s legible but subtly obscured by the thick ivory glaze. The tray measures approximately 12¼ inches long, 6¾ inches wide, and stands 1½ inches high. A rope-textured border encircles the base, adding visual and tactile interest. Minor crazing and storage wear is present, consistent with age and use, but no chips or cracks are noted.
