The front of the jacket has two side entry zippered pockets, two top entry with snap closure, and two open pockets on top of those snap pockets that are great for item you need to use frequently. The material has a very strong, durbable feel to it but isn't stiff like it would stand up on its own like other jackets of this style, it's actually comfy. It has a cool 'columbia' patch on the left sleeve and one on the left side of the chest.
