Unique Vintage Black Leather Satchel/Shoulder Frame Bag with Chic Sleek Features * There is no label inside so I had to base my research on style descriptions & photos & came to the conclusion that this bag was made in the 1940's or 50's. * Smooth & soft black pebbled black leather with no flaws. It has a .25" lined design seam down the middle of the front. * It has a sleek thick black abstract pointed sided rectangular flat top trim where the flat silver toned clasp closes. * I do not think it's bakelite as it has some subtle bits of grey discoloration inside. It is more likely celluloid. * It is very subtle & visible only if you look for it & in certain light * Both sides have small chips on the back of each side. See photos * On the other side is the arched silver frame with the square silver clasp on top * The single top handle attaches unusually to each side of the frame with silvertone clasps and silver frame The leather handle is thick, puffy & comfortable * The inside is a black satiny nylon type of fabric with a long slip pocket across the back. * Apart from what I already mentioned the metal has tiny scratches & marks on the metal.
