This denim is so soft! It's substantial and thick like 100% cotton is known for, but it's not stiff and rigid like 100% cotton tends to be. It's soft to the touch and has a beautiful drape. These are marked size 25 Regular. That said, the Sid Jean is oversized. You will wear it low on the hips and effortlessly slouchy if you're a true 25. I wear a 28 in other brands of denim (Paige, Frame, Free People) and I can wear these and zip them up on my 28" waist and 39" hips. It fits me high-waisted and fitted at this size, but it could work if that's the look you're going for.
