Does it actually work for eliminating psoriasis?

@kvirden3 absolutely—there’s tons of research on the benefits of UVB light on psoriasis

@kailsish…yes, I have recently discovered this treatment and dove in head first and started studying the research. I believe this might be the answer to my prayers, and I might be able to wear shorts/short sleeved T-Shirts again. I’m going to make a couple calls and see if I can get the money to purchase this from you so I can get started on treatments ASAP.

@kvirden3 I SO hope that for you. We used this for my husband’s head while we were finding shampoo/conditioner that didn’t irritate him. I did help in the short time that we used and he has been fine now for almost a year. I don’t have experience with Psoriasis but know how frustrating skin care can be.

@kailsish Sorry, can I ask one more question? I promise to leave you alone for the night after I ask. So if I’m understanding you correctly, in ya’lls experience this wasn’t a treatment option that had to be done on a consistent basis? It almost sounds like it borderline cured him of it, if he was able to discontinue use and it hasn’t came back.

@kvirden3 it’s hard to say—he had red lesions on his head that began when moved to be with me, but he moved here from Europe where the ingredients found in every day products are VERY different. We think his skin was sensitive/irritated from the ingredients (we now use natural products) and we used the light in combination with trying the natural products and definitely noticed a calming of the redness until it eventually way gone.

@kvirden3 It’s my understanding that with an immune response, this would probably have to be used over a long term to continually slow the overproduction of skin cells

@kailsish Thank you for all the information you’ve shared with me. I did see that these lights are good for about 1000 hours. If you had to guess, how much time do you think has been put on it? I know that you can’t possibly be exact, nor am I expecting you to be, I was just wondering if you knew an approximate amount?

@kvirden3 let me turn it on and see—there’s a clock with total time used on it :)
Oct 19Reply

kailsish
@kvirden3 we have about 5 hours and 41 minutes of use on it :)

@kailsish Again, I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to answer all of my questions. Fingers crossed that this is the answer to my prayers. Take care!
