Antique Victorian Oyster Shell Purse

Antique Victorian oyster shell purse with chain for keeping coins. Seems to have been painted with a Niagara Falls design that has worn off. Made from an oyster shell, this purse is lined with red and white fabric, creating three pouches. The outside is a very pretty smooth and iridescent oyster shell complete with a small chain. It's hinged on one side and opens with metal fittings. Measures approximately 5 inches by 2 inches. Victorian circa 1880.
