Henry Beguelin Cognac Leather Tote

This is a vintage Henry Beguelin classic tote in cognac leather. There is a lovely patina to this bag that will only get better and more interesting with age. The size is perfect for everyday use. Not too big, not too small. The bag measures approximately 13 inches across the base, which has a solid leather bottom to keep the bag from slumping and looking sloppy. The top of the bag measures 16 inches. The handle drop is 10 inches and affixed to the bag with a simple, elegant knot, not hardware. Each side of the 5” deep bag features a woven detail unique to each bag Beguelin designs. The unlined interior is “leather clean” and features a snapped leather pocket. It appears that the brass button can be polished. These bags retail for upwards of $2000 at Barney’s. Here’s a chance to get a classic, timeless tote for much less. Heavy linen dust bag included.
