Much loved Doc Martens purchased by my mom in Christmas 1998 so I could fit in with all of my friends. Laces replaced in the last year and cared for by cleaning/oiling at least once a year since owned. I wore them a lot in middle school, occasionally in high school, and once a year or less after that. It's time they escape my closet and find someone who will wear and appreciate them. If you're used to newer Doc Martens, please don't be surprised when you feel the weight on these. They weigh in at a whopping 1.5 lbs each. (Note: yes, we wore these all the time and were surprised we developed massive calves) Let's talk size... the only marking on these boots is the number 5. According to the Doc Martens site (https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/shoe-size-guide) that's a US women's size 7... but I definitely wear a size 8.5 and have since I was a teenager. (Go check my other listings if you don't believe me). I have measured the boots themselves and they are approximately 10 inches inside and out, which matches the chart. I've included the photo of that measurement. They're marked as a US Women's 8.5 and I stand by that size. But please know if you purchase, you're acknowledging that you've read all of this info and accepting that these are vintage shoes.
