A vintage Japanese porcelain saucer featuring a tranquil hand-painted landscape — a cottage nestled among trees, soft clouds drifting overhead, and a winding path that invites the viewer in. Signed in brush script by the artist (signature appears to begin with “A” or “H” and includes a “T” near the end), this piece reflects the expressive style of mid-century export ware.
> Diameter: Approximately 5.25"
> Porcelain: Thin and lightweight with semi-gloss glaze
> Mark: “Japan” printed in block letters on base
> Signature: Artist name not confirmed; similar in style to known scenic decorators such as Hiroka
Condition: Excellent vintage condition — no chips or cracks; minor wear consistent with age
Features gold trim around the rim and two small holes on the back, allowing it to be hung as a decorative wall piece. Marked “JAPAN” in block letters, a style commonly used on export porcelain from the 1920s to early 1940s. Likely produced during the pre-WWII mid-century export era, when scenic hand-painted plates were popular in both North and Latin American markets.
