Stunning handcrafted necklace and earrings are a real attention-getter! The large Jasper pendant, Natural Quartzsite sphere beads and Crystal rondelle beads are plated with the metal Titanium. The necklace is accented with copper beads, and has a copper fish hook and eye closure. The earrings are strung on copper wire, and have copper ear wires. Necklace is 20", earrings are 2" long. Quartzite is metamorphic rock that was pure quartz sandstone, which is converted into Quartzite from intense heat and pressure deep within the Earth's crust. A treatment of heat, vacuum and electricity is used to deposit the Titanium coating to the carvings. A technique of Fluctuating the Electrical Current, Temperatures and Vacuum settings during the coating process combines the metal Titanium with Oxygen, creating the spectacular differences in colors. There are no hazardous chemicals used or hazardous by-products created in this process.
