Dr. Marten 1461 Souvenir Embroidered Leather Shoes

NWOT, NEVER WORN. These new shoes take cues from Japanese souvenir (Sukajan) jackets, popular with dissident Japanese youths in the 40s and 50s. Back then, the DIY jackets were embroidered with illustrations, graphics and markings that meant something to the wearer. And this pair is no different. Detailed with eagle and skull designs, they’re built from black Nappa leather and marked with the signature yellow welt stitching. The 1461 is a 3-eye shoe championed for its versatility. Nappa is the softest leather in our archive: pliable and easy to wear in, with a natural smooth texture. Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with the signature welt stitch.
