The bottom of the Persimmon jar is stamped "Japan". These ceramic jars have decals around the sides. The decorations on top of the lids were hand painted and some of the paint has worn off. The inside rim of the strawberry jar has a rough edge near the spoon opening, which is not visible when the lid is on.
