Vintage brooch by Trifari, from the crown + copyright period (1955-1960s), signed as "Trifari © (with a small crown on 'T')" on the snap lock. Material used: - Synthetic rhinestone; - Faux mother of pearl/abalone enamel coating (not genuine mother of pearl); - Trifanium, a special metal invented and put forth by Trifari, one that claims to be less easy to tarnish than other metals. Flaw: - Overall vintage wear throughout (minor dents, scratches, wear, etc.), nothing badly damaged or too noticeable; - Wear on the faux mother of pearl/abalone coating; - Wear of the gold plating on the protruding parts; - Minor darkening of some of the rhinestones.
