It has two little fabric covered buttons on each sleeve and it a gorgeous dress! It has a zipper closure on the back. It dress has puff sleeves, a square neckline, and a gathered waist with a long skirt, which were popular characteristics of the inspired "prairie" or "cottagecore" styles prominent in the 1980s.
