Vintage Coral Colored (Pink) & Silver Toned Multi Strand Beaded Torsade Necklace Oval Pendant Boho Tropical Earthy A beautiful unbranded, bohemian-style necklace. A real unique, statement piece with an elegant design and in a stunning, shade of pink. I don’t know much about this piece, but after doing some research, I believe this piece could possibly be of North African origin, where bone is often used in the making of jewelry. If that is the case, the pink beads are likely dyed bovine (cattle) bone, sometimes referred to as "Sherpa coral." It features 5 strands of small, rondelle (disk-shaped) beads that can be twisted together to form a torsade (spiral design). A large, oval-shaped central pendant is set in an ornate, dimpled metal frame (likely nickel?). The necklace is finished with a simple lobster- hook-and-eye clasp. Necklace measures approx 9" in length Pendant measures approx 2" x 1.5". Very good used condition. Minor signs of wear include some slight fading of certain beads, a few light scratches and a little wear/tarnishing of metal as shown in photos.
