The Concho was the signature dining and lounge venue inside the famed Westward Ho Hotel in Phoenix, a landmark that opened in 1928 as one of Arizona’s premier luxury hotels. Rising 16 stories with its iconic broadcast tower added in 1949, the Westward Ho became a symbol of downtown Phoenix’s growth, hosting presidents, celebrities, and major social events through the mid-20th century. The Concho offered a Southwestern-influenced atmosphere and was part of the larger Associated Federal Hotels group, whose locations are listed on the reverse of this matchbook. This vintage cover, produced by Universal Match of Dallas, features classic mid-century typography and the hotel’s distinctive compass-style emblem, capturing the era when the Westward Ho stood as a central hub of Phoenix hospitality. Good used condition. Comes as shown, see the exact item you will receive in photos.
