As a little girl she spent hours drawing and creating. Diane attended Georgia Southern University, where she earned a BS in home economics. After marrying her college sweetheart, she became a stay-at-home mom since she was blessed with two wonderful young boys. She found it very difficult to find clothes that would fit them, so she began making her own outfits for them and the John-John was invented. As her boys grew older, her husband persuaded her to begin mass producing her designs to sell, and thus The Bailey Boys, Inc. was born. In 1987, it began as a small five sewing machine operation designing only boy’s outfits in a room the size of your average bedroom. Today, The Bailey Boys, Inc. operates a 22,000-square foot facility in Baxley, GA with its corporate headquarters located on Saint Simons Island, GA.
