14k Gold Floating Opal Screwback Earrings

Incredible pair of vintage "floating opal" 14-karat gold screwback earrings. Each earring features a spherical glass globe that is filled with clear liquid (most likely glycerine) and small pieces of opal. The pieces float freely in the liquid, creating a glimmering snow globe of colours. Subtle but colourful, with a wonderful old-world flair. Stamped 14K and confirmed with acid test.
