This exquisite vintage cream and sugar set is crafted from white, opaque "Monax" depression glass. The glass exhibits a faint blue opalescent hue and is known to display a striking "ring of fire" effect when held up to the sunlight, a characteristic highly sought after by collectors. The surface of both the creamer and the open sugar bowl is adorned with the intricate, delicate etched design of the "American Sweetheart" pattern, a popular motif produced by the Macbeth-Evans Glass Co. between 1930 and 1936.
Measurements Sugar Bowl: approximately 3 3/8" tall x 3 7/16" diameter x 5" handle-handle Creamer: approximately 3 1/2" tall x 3" diameter x 4 1/4" handle-handle
Condition: The set is in overall good vintage condition, especially considering that it is 90+ years old! There is some roughness and small flea bites noted around the rim of the creamer, but no significant chips, cracks, or stains on either piece.
