Beautiful and wonderfully designed

Frankoma Pottery was founded in 1933 by Grace and Victor Frank in Norman, Oklahoma, initially focusing on decorative ceramics inspired by the American Southwest. The company later gained significant popularity for its annual Christmas plates, which became highly sought-after collectibles.
This particular plate, "Laid in a Manger," is part of Frankoma's Christmas plate series and was issued in 1969. The design captures a traditional Nativity scene, a common motif for holiday collectibles, and the year "69" is prominently displayed. Such plates are valued by collectors for their artistic merit, historical significance within the Frankoma line, and their connection to holiday traditions.
