Delicate Vintage 12k GF necklace with 3 tiger eye beads.
This necklace is a style known as a station necklace, which is a type of chain where beads or gemstones are fixed at intervals along its length.
The beads are made of tiger's eye, a natural gemstone known for its characteristic warm brown and golden chatoyancy (a shimmering optical effect). This specific piece features three such beads on a delicate gold chain and a spring-ring clasp.
Tiger's eye is a metamorphic rock associated with protection, good luck, inner strength, and self-confidence.
Station necklaces with tiger's eye beads have been available since at least the 1970s and remain a popular, versatile style suitable for everyday wear or layering.
The marking on the clasp, "1/20 12K G.F.", indicates that the jewelry is gold-filled. This is a specific type of metal processing that is different from solid gold or gold plating.
Explanation of the Marking
G.F.: This stands for "Gold-Filled".
12K: This indicates the purity of the gold layer used is 12 karats.
1/20: This means that the gold layer makes up at least 1/20th (or 5%) of the item's total weight.
Please see the photo for the length when clasped in cm and inches.

@dawneinar Hello! 27.5 cm or 11 inches when fastened. It is not adjustable. When unfastened totally flat, it is 22 inches or 55 cm. Thanks for stopping by!
