This rare 1st edition 556 page antique piece of Christmas lore is a glimpse into the past! Lots of English and European customs. There’s a section of Christmas around the world too. There are ancient (to us) stories, quizzes, and crossword puzzles (or X-puzzles) and some humorous or “tongue in cheek “ articles like The Christmas Business by Rose Mccaulay. Compiled in 1940, but so many of the stories, essays and poems are from much earlier. Many religious essays and poems. And lots of history and fun too. There’s a section of ghost stories! This 1st edition book has been in my family bookshelf for over 35 years. The dust jacket of this book is in pretty good condition for a 84 year old tome. Merry Christmas 🎄 Thanks for visiting my closet! 🦌 Smoke free and pet free home. 🌻
