Exceptional vintage 1960s mohair coat by William Frohman, featuring a dramatic fur-trim shawl collar and rich blue textured body. Constructed in Canada with an IGWU union label, indicating high-quality mid-century craftsmanship. Fully lined with original blue lining and tailored with a belted waist for a classic vintage silhouette.
The fur collar is hand-applied (see photos) - consistent with mid-century construction techniques. Fur is stitched through a backing rather than glued, reflecting period methods. The fur trim appears to be real vintage fur, with natural variation in texture and density consistent with mid-century fur construction
Condition note: there is a small worn/thinned area in the fur (shown in close-up photos, approx the size of a loonie). This is not immediately noticeable when worn and does not affect the structure or wearability of the coat. Priced with this in mind.
A rare, collectible vintage outerwear piece with striking presence and authentic history.

@mochicat12 Hi there! There are no tags that specify fabric. I am presuming the coat is a mohair or mohair blend based on era, production and experience but of course cannot guarantee. The fur I suspect is rabbit or chinchilla - it isn't coarse like mink or fox. Hope that helps đź’–
