Classic Elegance of an Old, Pre WWII Mikimoto Pearl Brooch. This Lovely Pin bears the old "K. Mikimoto Tokyo" mark, and features 5 Luminous Mikimoto pearls. Kokichi Mikimoto (1854-1954) devoted his life’s work to cultivating the perfect cultured pearl. This pin is made of 950 Silver, a higher silver standard than our US 925 Silver. It also bears the Mikimoto clamshell mark. This Lovely Brooch measures 1 7/8"x 1 1/8”. The Pearls range in size from 5.4mm to 4.5mm. It weighs 6.1 grams.
