Calling all Fendi Baguette Collectors 🗣 This Fendi baguette in pink velvet monogram is a true museum piece of fashion history. In 1997, Fendi and Fondazione Lisio of Florence Italy collaborated to create collections of completely original fabrics, the first being the "Velvet FF". This collection was produced in very limited runs, and was available in black, gold, red, sky blue, and this very rarely seen pink on an ivory ground. In order to create the “FF velvet” a wooden structure called a “cantra” or creel had to be constructed behind the loom and mounted with 800 small bobbins containing the organzine. The Fondazione LISO is dedicated to preserving this venerable tradition and continues to practise the ancient weaving technique, which can only be accomplished on hand looms. The front and side buckles are fully adorned in crystals, with the front buckle featuring a pink crystal center. Things to note 📝: Overall very good vintage condition - no missing crystals, shape has slightly relaxed with wear, small spots of discoloration to the back side as noted in photos, slight buckling of interior leather under flap - please review detailed photos carefully 📸
