Vtg 40s nylon & lace dress

Vintage 1940s era black midi length cocktail dress with lace at the top and a tiered skirt. V neckline, short butterfly style sleeves, nipped in waist, hidden side zipper. The shorter skirt tier is straight across the front but comes down to a V in the back, like coattails. The black fabric is a semi-sheer nylon blend. The lace parts are 100% nylon and very fragile. Professional cleaning highly recommended due to the age. In great vintage condition. No tears or flaws, incredible considering it is 80+ years old. There is a tag that says Size 16. My how times change lol. Fits like a modern Size 6. No stretch. Bust 34" Waist 27" Hips 38" Length 46" This dress is an absolute masterpiece. I wore it to a cocktail party at Greenway, Agatha Christie's country home in England.
