This was a present that my friend's father gave her mother back in the 40s.
It is a Yukata, which is a casual summer piece of Japanese clothing, often used in spas. They are constructed differently from a true kimono, and kimonos are more formal. Yukatas are usually made from lighter, less expensive fabrics than kimonos. This feels like a light linen.
It did not have a belt with it.
It is a beautiful green, with pink and blue flowers and a very pretty bird.
I don't know what size, as it has no tags. I would call it one size fits most, because I wear a size large and I could wear it, but it looks good on my size 6 mannequin too.
Armpit to armpit 25"
Length from shoulder 52"
Width of sleeve 16"
It is in excellent condition! It feels crisp and like new!
Proceeds go to Saving One Life Kitty Rescue in Gilbert AZ, to help pay for veterinary care for less fortunate fur babies!
