Lovely, floaty blue confection perfect for spring and summer. Sheer net overskirt lined with pale blue green cotton. Bodice has satin ribbon trim and embroidered flowers. Hidden side zipper. Labeled “dry clean only” though it’s the sort of garment that would most likely be okay with hand washing as well. Waist: 30” Length from armpit: 37” Purchased many years ago from Victorian Trading Company in Kansas City. From a smoke-free cat-friendly home.

redhairmer Hey! I was wondering what part of the dress is the waist measurement. Since it’s an empire waist— is it the underbust or natural waist of the dress?

flappergrrl Good question. Directly under the bust, where the ribbon is in front, it measures 16” across. On the back, where you can see the horizontal seam, it’s 15” measured loosely, nearer 16” pulled taut.
