Absolutely dry clean only. If you machine wash you will ruin it. It would shrink and the colors may well run as the yarn was not colorfast. These sweaters are hand knit and 100% wool. They take 60 - 70 hrs to knit. They are masterpieces. - How do I know all this? I am knitter and was taught by my Danish Grandmother to knit these starting to knit at age 4.
I make them now. My Gran made them to sell when she was young in Denmark and Sweden. They originally came with instructions to dry clean
