Whitehurst Flying Bug Hand Blown Fantasy Glass Ornament Large 7" Boxed Imports

This is a rare Whitehurst Imports hand-blown Flying Bug fantasy glass ornament, item number 42010 measuring approximately 7 inches long and including the original Whitehurst box. Featuring an elongated segmented body, etched iridescent wings, hand-painted eyes, and heavy gold and glitter detailing, this is an exceptional example of European fantasy art glass. Whitehurst Imports was known for importing high-end, handcrafted ornaments from Eastern Europe for specialty gift and holiday décor shops during the late 1990s to early 2000s. Their fantasy insect designs were produced in very limited quantities due to the complexity and fragility of the pieces, making them among the most collectible items in the Whitehurst line. Each ornament was individually hand-blown and hand-painted, making every example unique. This piece is fully intact with no damage and displays beautifully.
