This tea-length wedding dress was worn once in 1957 and again in 1989. The sweetheart neckline is embellished with faux pearls in front and back, plus around the waist (also on the front and the back). The sleeves fasten with fabric covered buttons, as does the back of the dress. For its age, the dress is in very good condition. Only one button is showing wear of the fabric (see photo). There is some tearing of netting on one of the shoulder and elbow of one sleeve (see photos) and there are two light stains on the netted skirt (see photos). Otherwise, the satin, netting and lace is fully intact. The original crinoline petticoat skirt comes with it as well as the Juliet cap (missing it's veil) but in great condition. The crinoline petticoat measures 26" waist, the dress waist measures 32" "Maurer Originals was a bridal wear company well known for their Chantilly lace, satin and net fifties gowns...designer Vene made the most beautiful of these 1950s nipped waist lace gowns." The white of the gown has yellowed with age but this is still a gorgeous dress. See my separate listing for the matching clutch purse.
